Trade Learning Saturday Is Now Open for Registration!
Trade Learning Saturday is October 23 from 9 AM to Noon. Log into Webdesk and look for the Trade Learning Saturday icon. (Pictured below)
This icon should log you in automatically, but you can log in with your Plano ISD username and password if you have any technical difficulties. This year our Trade Learning Saturdays will be online, so everyone can learn at home! Sessions are open to everyone, including teachers, paraprofessionals, subs, administrators, etc. Sessions will qualify for trade hours and CPE credit. Subs and Paras can earn CPE credit, but do not need to earn trade hours.

Digital Learning Classes this Fall!
Do you ever experience a "Fear Of Missing Out" when it comes to digital integration? We got you! Harness the power of tech tools you already use and learn what you and your students can do with our district-licensed tools. A willingness to engage in and apply new learning is the only prerequisite to our classes.
All sessions listed below will be virtual, unless otherwise indicated.
To sign up to attend a session:
- Log in to PowerSchool with your PISD credentials.
- Within Course Search, search for the title of the session listed below. Or just search “FOMO!”
- Click Register.
A link to the virtual session will be provided within PowerSchool and emailed directly to those signed up.
How to Use the PL Guidebook
This session is designed for all campus and district leaders who design and deliver professional learning in any form. We will discuss tips and strategies for making your professional learning opportunities as effective as they can be. Our primary resource for this session is the Professional Learning Guidebook which is available on our website at pisd.edu/pl.

Spotlight Series for First- and Second-Year Teachers
The Spotlight Series of one-hour monthly sessions is designed as an informal opportunity for first- and second-year teachers (new to the profession or new to Plano) to become acquainted with the array of supports available in PISD. Each session will spotlight a different area of the district and will include some learning, an opportunity to meet district personnel who can support you in your role, and chances to connect with other new teachers. Attendance is not mandatory, but Trade Credit will be awarded. Join us for these fun, informative sessions designed with your needs in mind.
TEA Dyslexia Professional Learning Course
This course is designed for all school and district staff members across the state who serve students in kindergarten through grade 12. A participant handbook is provided to guide learning. Participants will receive 6 CPE credits for completion of the course, which can be uploaded into PowerSchool as an Out of District Activity. Google Capacity Cohort: Spring 2022We are now taking applications for the Google Capacity Cohort: Spring 2022! Thanks to a generous grant from Capital One, over 500 Plano ISD educators have earned their Google Certified Educator credential. This program is for teachers and campus/district leaders who are interested in building their capacity for technology integration and Google's suite of educational tools and resources. There has never been a better time to increase your mastery of the Google Suite for Education tools, including Google Drive and Google Classroom. Participants will complete 15 hours of online study modules (which are Trade Eligible!), and then take a rigorous online assessment measuring proficiency to earn their Google Certified Educator credential. This opportunity is available to teachers, paras, and administrators alike.Applications are due January 9, 2022.
