Mrs. Kim Beattie

Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from Henry Ford High School.  In 1978, I earned my B.A. in Elementary Education at Michigan State University and was recruited by Dallas ISD to come teach for them.  So my college roommate and I moved to Texas! In 1990, I earned my M.Ed. from the University of North Texas. This is my 44th year teaching, my 39th in Plano, and my 22nd at Skaggs.  I love being a Skaggs Star!

Former students can tell you that I love owls, Harry Potter books, scrapbooking, and crocheting warm fuzzies (bookmarks).

My husband, Rich, and I have two children, Emily and Eowyn, who both graduated from Plano East High School.
