Hi there! I’m so excited to begin my fourth year teaching at Barksdale Elementary! This school year, I’ll be teaching 5th grade, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to continue growing with our amazing students and community. Over the summer, I had the joy of teaching Kindergarten summer school again—it’s always such a fun and refreshing experience!

My teaching philosophy is simple but powerful: Everyone can. I believe that when students are given the space to learn, grow, and believe in themselves, there’s nothing they can’t achieve. One of my favorite parts of teaching is getting to know each student—learning who they are, what makes them light up, and watching them grow into confident learners. My mission is to help them see their own potential and develop a mindset that they can do anything they set their hearts on.

I’m originally from Lewisville, Texas, and I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and my Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas (Go Mean Green!). Outside of the classroom, I love traveling, getting creative with crafts, Pilates, and spending time with my favorites ones.

In our classroom, you’ll find bright colors, big dreams, and an open-door vibe—my students know they can be themselves, take risks, and celebrate their growth. I’m proud of the growth I’ve seen in my students over the years, but also of my own journey as a teacher and leader here on campus. I can’t wait to see what this new school year brings!
