  • Why an electronic hall pass system?

    Posted by:

A team of FMS staff members had the opportunity to observe e-hallpass in use at Vines High School and Armstrong Middle School. Based on information gleaned from those experiences, we believe that e-hallpass has the potential to reduce classroom disruptions and enhance accountability for student whereabouts. Shepton High School is also implementing e-hallpass, so introduction of the program now will help our 8th graders as they transition to Shepton next school year.

No, a student may use any web-connected device to request a pass. Most often, they should be using their Chromebooks, so it’ll be important to have charged Chromebooks with them daily. If students do not have access to a device accessible, teachers are able to create passes for students in only a few seconds from the e-hallpass teacher dashboard.
