  • American Sign Language

    American Sign Language levels 1, 2, and 3

    ASL courses are designed to introduce the student to the language and culture of the Deaf World. All levels focus on developing vocabulary growth through expanding the grammatical structures unique to present the rich history of the American Deaf and their language.

  • Spanish

    Spanish 1, 2 
    Spanish 3, 3H/Pre-AP
    Spanish 4, 4AP 
    Spanish 4AP, 5AP (Literature)

    Spanish courses introduce the student to the Spanish world, its language and its people. The students will recognize the interrelationships of languages and will develop a cultural appreciation of the Hispanic world. Oral skills are developed throughout the program with added emphasis on reading and writing skills as the students advance in the program. Culturally related activities of selected Spanish-speaking countries or regions will be explored. Introduction to literature occurs in levels 3, 3H/Pre-AP, 4, and 4AP. Students in level 4AP prepare to take the AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam in the spring.

    Spanish Literature— Spanish 5AP is designed for students who have successfully completed Spanish 4AP. It enriches the students’ appreciation of culture and language through the study of classic literature and poetry of Spain and of other Spanish speaking areas of the world. Students in this course prepare to take the AP Spanish Literature and Culture Exam in the spring.

  • Chinese

    Chinese levels 3H/Pre-AP and 4AP

    Chinese courses introduce the student to the Chinese world, its language and its people. Oral skills are developed throughout the program with added emphasis on reading and writing skills as the students advance in the program. Culturally related activities of selected Chinese regions will be explored. The goal of the 4AP level course is to prepare the students to take the AP Chinese Language and Culture exam in the spring.

    French courses introduce the student to the French-speaking world, its language, and its people. Oral skills are developed throughout the program with added emphasis on reading and writing skills as the students advance in the program. Culturally related activities of selected French-speaking countries or regions will be explored. Introduction to literature occurs in level 3H, 4AP, and 5H. Students in level 4AP and 5H prepare to take the AP French Language Exam in the spring.
