Hello!

My name is Mak Aubain. This is my second year at Jasper; I've lived in DFW for most of my life. My passions include writing (poetry is my favorite) and helping students develop into lifelong readers and writers. My goal is to help each student develop confidence in their literacy skills while encouraging each individual to take ownership of their learning process. 

I love to read and watch movies; my all-time favorite genre is horror. I have horror-themed decorations throughout our classroom and it brings me such joy. I love playing video games (open-world RPGs are my bread and butter). I also play Dungeons and Dragons with my college friends; it's a wonderful way to practice critical thinking skills while being creative. My husband's name is Ian; we've been married for 6 years and live in Mckinney with our 4 pets. Our two dogs are named Jack and Moose and we have two cats named Cash and Lottie.
