I've been teaching for 23 years with 20 years here at Haggard Middle School in 6th Grade Language Arts. I've been married for 21 years and have 3 kids: Aidan, an 8th grader, Isabella, a 7th grader, and a 1st grader, Emma. They keep me busy outside of school, but they are a blessed reminder of why I have chosen this profession. 

Reading and critical analysis are my passions. This school year, I aim to grow my students in their reading, thinking, and writing skills to help them be more successful in life and help them reach their potential. I also love to garden, bake, and of course, spend time with my babies at home. Haggard is my home away from home, and I find so much joy in teaching and in students learning! We will have many opportunities for growth this year, and I do take each day as it comes feeling blessed and grateful.  I look forward to a successful year of creating lifelong readers!
