  • Toddler Curriculum

The Employee Child Care Centers use toddler curriculum by Frog Street Press. Caregivers devise lesson plans for toddlers using 13 thematic activity guides. The program allows caregivers to foster growth and learning in the areas of language development, physical development, social and emotional development, cognitive development, and approaches toward learning.

Activities are integrated into daily routines such as diaper changes, outdoor play and transitions. Books, toys, music and photo cards are used to foster strong connections and enhance social interactions. Toddlers build confidence and learn self regulation.

Time spent outdoors occurs twice each day. Children ride in strollers and have opportunities to explore the outside environment as weather permits.

In addition, caregivers use lessons designed in collaboration with Plano ISD's C.A.R.E. team to teach our youngest learners about feelings and self-regulation. Materials and lessons come from Momentous Institute's Settle Your Glitter curriculum.
