• High School Virtual Summer School (Credit Recovery)

    All Course Fees must be paid at this time, or students' registrations will be removed.

     

    Program Description

    • The purpose of this program is to provide high school students who are lacking credits with opportunities to recover those credits outside the standard school year. 

    Eligible Students

    • Students who need to recover credit to bridge the gap between their current academic standing and where they should be in terms of their graduation cohort.
    NOTE: Students who simply want to advance by taking summer courses need to register with Plano ISD's eSchool Program.  eSchool will start accepting registrations for summer courses on May 12.  For registration and tuition information related to the eSchool program, please visit the eSchool website.  Counselors do not pre-approve eSchool courses. Once students register for an eSchool course, a notice is sent to their counselor for approval.  (eSchool enrollment is ongoing and does not have a deadline.)

    Dates & Times

    • June 2 - June 25
    • Any live/synchronous learning activities for this program will occur between 8:00 am-12:00 pm. Students may choose to work on asynchronous learning activities on their own schedule outside of these hours.

    **All coursework must be completed by 12:01 pm on June 25 to receive credit.

    Locations

    • This program is virtual. Students will be enrolled in online courses.

    Cost

    • $100 per semester course*
      • Please note: A 4.5% software fee will be applied to all transactions.
    • No refunds will be issued after close of business on June 2nd.
      • Any fees paid during checkout will not be reimbursed.
    *Students eligible for Reduced Lunch will pay $60 per semester course. Students eligible for Free Lunch will pay $40 per semester course.

    Registration Process:

    1. Counselors first pre-approve courses in the online registration system. Students are encouraged to meet with their Counselors to determine which courses are needed during the summer sessions. 
    2. Once the pre-approval process is complete, parents must complete the registration process through the PISD Skyward Family Access (Parent Portal).
