Registration Instructions for 2025 Exploration & PVAA
Thank you for your interest in the 2025 Plano ISD Summer Exploration Program and Plano Visual Arts Academy (PVAA)! You can learn more about these programs by returning to the Exploration & PVAA webpage.
The registration process for the Exploration and PVAA programs has changed to utilize PISD’s new Skyward system for course selection, scheduling, and program management.
Please review the 3 steps to the registration process outlined below:
Step 1: Pre-Registration (March 3 - 21, 2025)

Login to the Plano ISD Skyward Family Access at https://portal.pisd.edu

On the Dashboard, click on the “Summer School Exploration & PVAA Pre-Registration” icon.

Complete and submit the online form to indicate interest in registering your student for Summer Exploration or PVAA.
- Click the green "Start" button at the top of the page.
- Click the green "Submit Form" at the top of the page when you have completed all questions.
Step 2: Course Registration (March 24 - April 18, 2025)
If you failed to Pre-Register by March 21st, please complete the form in the instructions above and you will register in 1-2 business days.

Login to the Plano ISD Skyward Family Access at https://portal.pisd.edu
- If you are using the Skyward app on a mobile device, you may not see the Exploration Registration tile. Please complete the registration steps on a computer or in a mobile device's internet browser.

Click on “SS PISD Exploration ___” tile under your student’s name.

You will need to complete this process individually for each student.

On the next page, you will see all of the open courses and class periods that are available at that time.

You can search for course names in the Search box above the Course List.

Click on the ‘+’ to the left of the course AND Period you want to add.

You will see that course added to the schedule on the right.
- If you want to switch a class, click on the double-arrows button to the left of the course.

Select THREE courses for your student to take.

Click ”Submit My Schedule” in the top-right corner. You will return to your Dashboard page.

To see confirmation of your schedule submission, click on the "SS CR PISD Exploration" registration icon. A confirmation message will be shown at the top of the page. You may also print your schedule by clicking “Print Schedule” option in the top-right corner.
**Continue to Step 3 to pay and finalize your registration. Registration is not completed until payment is received.

**If you register between Monday and Friday of this week, you will have until Friday of the FOLLOWING week to make payment. All payments must be made by April 21 for registration to be complete.
- If payment is not received in a timely manner, your child's classes will be removed so we can open up seats for other students. If this happens, please contact us at SummerSchool@pisd.edu to re-select your child's classes. Then you will be able to proceed to the payment process.
Step 3: Payment (March 24 - April 18, 2025)
This step will be available approximately 5-10 minutes after selecting your student’s courses. Registration is not completed until payment is received.
**Payments by cash, money order, or cashier's check can be made at the Plano ISD Administration Building. Please email SummerSchool@pisd.edu to schedule a time. (We are unable to accept personal checks.)

On the Skyward Family Access Dashboard, click on the “Fees & Fee Payments” tile under your student’s name.

Review the fees now assigned for the Exploration program.

Click the “Make a Payment” button in the top-right corner of the screen.

You will automatically be taken to the Revtrack Web Store for payment processing.

If this is your first time to use this website, click the “Create New Account” button.

Login and view the Required Fees that have been applied to your account.

Click “Add to Cart” for each item listed.

Then click the Checkout button.

Please note: A 4.5% software fee will be applied to all transactions.

Complete the payment process.

A receipt will be emailed to you. All payment records will also be saved in your new Revtrack account.
*Registration is not completed until payment is received.
