Plano ISD Communications Department Earns Six Awards at TSPRA

The Plano ISD Communications Department earned six awards at the annual Texas School Public Relations Association's (TSPRA) Conference awards banquet held in San Antonio on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

The district earned three Gold and two Silver Awards for publications, videos and other promotional materials created during the 2023-24 school year. Out of the Gold Awards, the district earned a Best In Category Medal for the 2024 Level Up Convocation Video. Additionally, the department was named a finalist for the Crystal Award in the School/Community Partnership category for the Leadership & Ambassador Program.

TSPRA recognizes communicators in school districts, education foundations, education associations and organizations for their work in print and electronic media. 57 categories make up the awards celebration and include newsletters, programs, press releases, posters, reports, writing, image/identity packages, photography, graphics, video, electronic presentations, mobile apps, campaigns, events and websites.

Plano ISD competed in the "more than 40,000 students" category against districts from across the state. An independent panel of judges evaluated and scored each entry based on its own merit. A set of criteria determined Bronze, Silver, and Gold Stars to award.
